Job description
Here at Broxton we we are looking for an individual to join our engineering/production team. The ideal person would have a well developed understanding of 3 Axis and 5 Axis work, extensive experience using cam software packages ideally Hyper mill and a good understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes. We work a day shift only with overtime as required and a short day on a Friday, if you have the skills and wait to join a great team please get in touch.
Job specification
Primary role
- Check route is efficient, accurate and sufficiently detailed to assist shop floor
- Check tooling availability and purchase if needed.
- Provide detailed set up sheets.
- Check work holding
- Consider unmanned requirements on all new parts.
- Programme milling jobs using Hypermill.
- Prove out production methods, programmes, tooling etc
- Develop improved cutter technologies.
- Train production operatives in best practice.
- To assist in quotation procedure, reviewing material requirements, machine times, tooling etc.
- Complete contract review processes highlighting risk and standards of delivery.
Secondary role
- Promote H&S
- Monitor machine maintenance
- To Drive shop floor organisation (5s / tool storage etc)
