Your new role:
As a Manufacturing engineer, you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Aerospace industry.
As a Manufacturing engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Working as a team to optimise manufacturing processes across production
- Leading improvement initiatives from concept to the shopfloor integration
- Taking part in project management activities
- Creating standard operating instructions (SOI) and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Liaising with several stakeholders, taking part in strategic meetings, and coordinating action plans

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a Manufacturing Engineer and a consultant.
Experience required:
- Background in manufacturing engineering and project management
- Knowledge of different quality standards (i.e., ISO9001, BS8888)
- Previous work experience with Standard Operation Instruction (SOI), Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), design drawings, APQP, PPAP, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Working knowledge with Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable
- At least 2 years of experience within the aerospace industry
Qualifications required:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Salary: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
