Cupsmith is a hot drinks businss based in Exeter. We produce all our own freshly roasted coffees, handmade hot chocolate and organic teas. We sell our products in Waitrose stores, Ocado, Selfridges and independent shops throughout the UK. We also sell our drinks via our own website. Our goal is to provide customers with the very best hot drinks and amazing customer service.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manufacturing Assistant to join our team at our Cupsmith factory. As a Manufacturing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing process by performing various tasks including producing our range of hot drinks, packing and dispatching products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and production machinery, ensuring that all safety regulations are followed, and completing tasks in a timely manner. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a food manufacturing environment and are committed to maintaining high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the manufacturing and production process by performing tasks such as making, packaging, labeling, and inspection of products according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Operate machinery and equipment required for production, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and suggest process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and handle any deviations or defects.
- Document production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any relevant observations or incidents.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to company policies and guidelines to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
- Assist in the implementation of food safety protocols and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
