What You'll Be Doing
At Opply, our strength is the efficiency with which we deliver leading-edge products and support to those we serve. We are building an end-to-end supply solution for 25 Million small brands worldwide and to help us continue our growth, we’re seeking a Manual QA Engineer who will play an integral role within a lean and multidisciplinary team across engineering, product and commercial.
Please note, that this position does not include test automation duties.
What is awaiting you is the possibility to work on a completely new product, a lot of freedom and responsibility right from the start and the possibility to participate in the definition of our whole testing strategy. Our product will largely be shaped by you!
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the requirements provided for individual pieces of software and systems
- Ensure functionality of applications and they match the specifications
- Working E2E from use case until release to production
- Execute manual testing to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues
- Conduct regression testing to ensure the quality of the release candidate
- Thoroughly validate numerical calculations to identify any discrepancies, anomalies, or potential issues
- Document and track test results, provide clear reporting of testing progress and results
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover any hidden bugs or usability concerns
- Troubleshoot live bugs and provide timely resolutions
- Having an in-depth understanding of the current state of the platform to suggest shortcuts in the feature planning stage
- Constantly showing a MVP mindset to allow record time feature rollouts
- Working closely with the product manager, developers and the commercial team to
- Understand user behaviour and test as closely as possible to an actual user
- Constantly reassess feature testing prioritisation
What Experience You Have
- 2+ years of experience testing scalable software solutions in tech businesses that ideally operate in one or more of these sectors: B2B, marketplaces, e-commerce, fintech or an adjacent space
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with API testing using Postman
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders/team members
- Ideally you have worked in a startup environment before
