Manual Miller – Wakefield

Talent84 are currently recruiting for a Manual Miller to work on a conventional machine on a full time permanent basis within one of Europe’s largest equipment manufacturers in its sector.

Pay rate:

• £13.50 - £14.50 per hour depending on skill set and experience.

Hours of Work:

• 37 hours per week
• Mon-Thu 8:00am-16:30pm
• Fri- 8:00am – 13:00pm

Duties are varied and may include:

• Setting and running a conventional Milling machine
• Cutting various types of steels, casts and hard chrome irons
• Working to tight tolerances using various measuring equipment including micrometers and verniers etc.
• Manufacturing products to customer specification using engineering drawings
• Ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained and regularly checked
• Quality checking all work produced
• Using lifting and transportation equipment
• Assembly work when required
• Working to agreed targets

Skills Required:

• Apprentice trained or time served
• Manual Machining – Miller experience
• Ability to read and work to engineering drawings
• An understanding of imperial and metric measurements
