The Supplier Assurance Team sits within Group Sourcing & Supplier Management, and we're responsible for providing assurance on LBG’s highest risk suppliers.
Job Description
This role is critical to the successful delivery of the annual Supplier Assurance delivery plan. We assure approximately 200 Suppliers every year and the team is made up of approx. 30 colleagues and in addition is supported by external partners. Significant customer relationship management and team engagement is needed to enable successful delivery of our plan.
We're looking for someone who wants to make a difference and work with the team to be successful. You'll be passionate about contributing to help shape the team through continuous improvements ideas. This is a great opportunity to join a successful team, external exposure to LBG’s most critical supplier and an opportunity for cross divisional engagement and stakeholder management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leadership: deliver a complex portfolio of assurance reviews in terms of scale, scope, cross-divisional impact and technical controls, by managing review teams, carrying out policy testing and working within the assurance methodology framework.
- Stakeholder management: manage relationships with internal and external customers, working collaboratively.
- Data collection and analysis: create high quality reports from the assurance findings and work with suppliers to agree remediation.
- Risk management and analysis: assess the materiality of the findings from assurance reviews, in conjunction with policy owners, risk partners and supplier managers, using the Groups’ risk management framework (likelihood and impact)
- Growing capability: grow your own capabilities by investing in personal development opportunities. Support colleagues in team by providing coaching in areas of expertise. Maintain an up to date awareness of regulatory and statutory environment.
What we’re looking for:
- A successful track record of delivery and ability to work with senior multi-disciplined stakeholders.
- You'll passionate about contributing to help shape the team through ideas and undertaking additional responsibilities.
- Supply Chain Management experience.
- Ability to positively engage with key stakeholders and with a wide variety of colleagues.
- Good people skills to facilitate effective teamwork and collaborative working.
- Risk Management experience.
- Natural ability to communicate with impact.
Desirables:
- Supplier assurance experience
- Broad awareness of risk management good practice
You'll be part of a great team. We have colleagues predominantly located across core hubs in the UK: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, Pendeford and London. You’ll find that you’ll split your time typically during the week between home and your nearest hub. Ad hoc travel to other core hubs across the UK for team events will also be required. In addition travel will be involved with this role to Supplier premises, with potentially a few nights away from home each month.
