We have an exciting opportunity to join the consumer relationships business in key anchor products, PCA and Payments, to influence the strategic direction of new and innovative propositions to help meet customer needs.
Here in the Propositions & Business Development team we're responsible for identifying growth opportunities, and outlining initiatives to drive profitability across the PCA, Payments, and Fraud and Financial Crime business. Specific team responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the development of the Group’s strategic response to a range of topics, e.g. Current Account range strategy, payments strategy, proposition development (BNPL for example), addressing the growing threat of fraud, and supporting customers through the cost of living challenge
- Defining opportunities to grow Other Operating Income, including through commerce services, additional propositions and consideration of non-FS markets
- Leading our response to payments developments, including peer to peer payments and digital currencies (e.g., crypto currencies, CBDCs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the strategic formulation and development for key proposition initiatives and projects, covering customer experience and investment activity.
- Providing a key role in crafting innovative products and services with viable go-to-market plans.
- Providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to improve customer experience, income, costs, risks, and investment priorities for relevant products & services.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure delivery of key projects and initiatives.
Capabilities, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in strategy and / or problem solving, communicating ideas and solutions in both verbal and written formats.
- Experience in ideating and crafting new propositions to meet customer needs with an emphasis on innovation and differentiation
- Ability to apply critical thinking and structured communication, often to tackle sophisticated or unclear problems / issues.
- An understanding of PCA & Payments and key trends (e.g. customer, market and competitor).
- Capabilities in crafting clear and informative papers.
- Required skills to undertake financial analysis (incl. to support cases).
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with broader team.
- Self-motivation to inspire change, and deliver positive outcomes for both the business and customers.
