Manager, Product Management - 6 month FTC
This role covers maternity leave for 6 monthsOverview:
The world is moving digital – and we at Mastercard help the industry to leverage safe, simple and smart payment solutions to grow. We are seeking an analytical, technically savvy product professional that will help European Product Management team to scale payment solutions, such as Merchant Card-on-File tokenisation and Token Connect in the region. These products enable financial institutions and third-party vendors with a safer and smoother way to store the card details online. This individual will play a key role by promoting technical payment solutions to various internal and external stakeholders, will help drive our vision, provide product management support to expansion efforts to make online payments better, faster, and more secure.
- Are you a payments expert with a hands-on product implementation experience?
- Have you defined and scaled product propositions, established go-to-market strategies and implemented improvements within a product life cycle?
- Have you developed a product roadmap and customer facing documentation?
- Have you worked with external customers to promote the value of technical solutions?

Role:
- Contribute to product strategy evolution based on data analysis, market trends and market feedback
- Support go-to-market planning and seek common vision of it by working with European market teams
- Own product activities, such as validating product API readiness, passing product review process and driving resolution of product implementation defects when necessary
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure their alignment with product functionality, objectives, and delivery timelines
- Providing subject matter expert support during the key implementation and piloting projects with card issuing banks, acceptance partners and third-party service providers
- Educate teams on using the tokenisation solutions, be a subject expert and an advocate of these solutions in the European Region
- Review product performance, functionality, collect any potential requirements and document for product backlog intake
- Track product backlog, releases and changes and make timely communication to all regional stakeholders
All About You:
- Product management knowledge, with significant experience of working on market launches and with a proven technical or product implementation background
- Good understanding of how payments work, deep understanding of ecommerce checkout landscape, competition, and leading alternative payment solutions
- Keen interest in the changing payments landscape, new technologies with a focus on excellent customer experience
- Experience in gathering and translating customer feedback into actions to advance products and go-to-market strategies
- Ability to understand and follow closely technical specifications, data definitions, API design, fast learner
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills with ability to abstract complex technical terms to all level of stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationship skills with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Experience creating and delivering presentations and communications for various audiences
- Detail oriented and able to keep cross-functional projects moving against deadlines
- Entrepreneurial spirit that can bring new ideas and wants to make an impact
- Advanced university degree required, preferred in business/finance/engineering/mathematics
