We're currently looking for a highly motivated Manager to join our Markets and Payments interlock team. You'll provide insightful, high quality complex output, advice and guidance driving control, tailored to senior partner needs.
You'll lead and deliver against both the strategic vision of Markets & Lending Delivery (MLD), across the group providing a comprehensive support service for our business partners both within MLD and the wider Markets and Payments ecosystem.
In addition to providing ongoing performance management and developing key capabilities within the team, you'll employ strong and articulate interpersonal skills to relay key messages where risks and issues need to be clearly understood and where appropriate decision-making drives risk management activity.
You'll also be required to produce business requirements across all of the Settlements Control subject areas and ensure that these are understood, prioritised and scheduled for delivery within an agreed timeframe and budget.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with both internal and external clients to ensure their needs are met while supporting other colleagues in managing additional client and customer relationships.
- Highlight shortcomings and suggest improvements in current compliance processes, systems, and procedures within assigned unit and/or subject area.
- Analyse key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identify possible impacts on the business. Working with business partners to mitigate identified risks.
- Help drive e2e MER root cause analysis that explores issues and/or needs that establish potential causes, related issues/barriers and close out any weaknesses in system architecture or processes.
- Investigate standard and non-routine incidents and provide expert advice to colleagues while coordinating with all internal functions to facilitate effective implementation of compliance programmes to minimize risk exposures and ensure adherence with regulatory standards.
- Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisation's change management.
- Help devise and deploy a Settlements Control governance framework that ensures controlled delivery across the Markets & Treasury Operations portfolio.
- Provide SME input into third party vendor negotiations that align to the strategy of MLD and ensure the optimal outcome – both financially and functionally - for the area.
- Design and help produce intuitive and meaningful MI for wider socialisation in MLD and other areas.
- Be an integral part of the design and implementation of non-MAS infrastructure.
Crucial skills / experience:
- Have an excellent understanding of Markets and Payments products and processes.
Desirable Skills:
- A good understanding of Murex and/or Summit would be an advantage.
- Experience of Lean Six Sigma with a qualification would be preferred.
