JOB TITLE: Manager, Payment Services Policy and Regulation 98 Reporting
SALARY: £61,641 - £80,090 (dependent on experience and location)
LOCATIONS: Birmingham / London / Glasgow
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About This Opportunity
Your role will be to support the Payments, Industry and Development Director in Commercial Banking Delivery, in their role as Reg98 Accountable Reporting Officer and Policy Owner for the Group, offering you growth, opportunity, profile and beyond!
It’s a fantastic time of change within our team and will suit someone who is highly motivated, eager to learn and has a can-do attitude to help businesses manage their payment risks and controls. You'll act as the communication link between the Policy owner, the rest of the Group as well as other Policy owning teams.
What you'll do in the role
Support the development, maintenance and implementation of the Policy, standards, and associated library.
Maintain the Regulation 98 reporting framework and report planning
Produce reports, following Horizon scanning, Business Unit monitoring activity and submissions, which are of a high quality, and identify any emerging payment service risks or trends
Provide advice to business units on any issues arising on their day-to-day use. Provide guidance and support to partners including the development of appropriate training content.
Develop and grow own technical competence and capability whilst mentoring other colleagues, providing them with ongoing support for their own continuous development.
Take a risk-based approach and ensure good risk management practices are adopted to help partners handle existing risks and identify new risks. Using risk and control concepts, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigations.
Track payment breaches, events, and any reported observations to identify any potential trends, ensure management actions are in place and closed on time and report policy adherence to all relevant governance forums.

What You’ll Need
Payments is a fast-evolving regulatory environment, so a good grasp and demonstrable knowledge of this will be desirable to get going quickly. Having the confidence to challenge and be challenged and successfully collaborate with partners at all levels is important.
Knowledge of Payments, Payments related regulations and payment journeys
Knowledge of Policy framework & governance model, and an understanding of Risk and Control.
Highly organised with ability to plan and operate independently.
Ability to analyse, interpret complex issues and provide guidance.
Ability to write reports for different audiences with good attention to detail.
Support process improvements to increase the efficiency of the team.
Experience of building strong collaborative working relationships across business areas.
