JOB PURPOSE AND ROLE
My PESP is a Community Interest Company and Social Enterprise. We are a Domiciliary Care provider, providing both Outreach and Supported Living Services for Adults with learning disabilities between the ages of 18 and 65. My PESP aim to be the best quality provider and a Beacon and Hub of quality LD, ASD and PBS based care.
The Job Role is to manage the service’s of My PESP with the Registered Manager’s direction and deputising in their absence. This includes enhancing the quality of life to the maximum possible for each Adult Resident. To ensure the service is being managed in line with legislation and best practice and to ensure high standards of care and support. It is to support the full management and service responsibilities under the directions of the PESP users and their circles of support whilst running an effective business. This is in pursuit of care, actions, behaviours and resources that enhances quality of life and positive behavioural support of any challenges they may present – all in line with the company’s statement of purpose.
To ensure the service is being managed in line with legislation and best practice and to ensure high standards of care and support. As Deputy, this is to take on full management responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Manager and in pursuit of care that enhances quality of life. Predominantly, this will be in the direct leadership and management of staff on shift and with a rota planned by the including some weekend work, however, is dynamic around the needs of the service.
The role of Deputy Manager is a key appointment at My PESP, primarily is direct support of the Registered Manager and taking the lead regarding the quality of lives of the Adults within the services. The Deputy Manager is a key management team member helping to implement policies and procedures and being an important link with the care staff. It is a role which will in time lead to further opportunities within My PESP.
As a new company and role, this position is vital to the development of the service. The role is developmental towards continual development over the next 12 months and is designed to build in the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Alignment with other roles: -
1. Participation with a CPD and develop skills as per the needs of My PESP and in relation to the current skills of the deputy
2. Company wide approach to management, overseeing all elements of My PESP

RECORDING AND MONITORING
1. To ensure that the units maintain up to date documentation.
2. To ensure that all unit paperwork is maintained and filed in a timely manner.
3. To supervise staff and discuss any issues with senior management.
4. To ensure all shift handovers are carefully documented.
5. To ensure they lead correct recording and monitoring of the services and manage staff’s action within this
6. To support high quality Data analysis information in line with the principles of PBS
7. To understand and contribute to the policy and procedures at My PESP. To assist in the revision of policy and practices and develop new ones where necessary.
MANAGEMENT OF STAFF DUTIES
1. To produce a rota with the right skills mix at all times to effectively meet the needs of all Service Users and in line with effective employment law
2. To follow the key leadership values for My PESP
3. To ensure adherence to the company’s policies and procedures
4. To maintain a positive approach to absence management of staff and all staffing issues
5. To ensure effective use of resources and budget control
6. To Supervise a group of staff, most likely to be shift leaders and Manager the service coordinator to supervise the staff

Salary: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
