You will be working closely with practitioners and partners in our Consulting business, you will gain a high level of understanding of opportunities and challenges in the business, to provide financial advice and enable better decision making. You will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders based on trust and impact.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the business to understand financial challenges. Providing practical advice and solutions, you will operate as a catalyst for informed decision making and improving financial performance. This will be across Consulting’s industry groups, its central functions and Strategic Investments.
  • Maintain, manage and evolve critical weekly forecasting and the models which underpin it.
  • Understanding performance, providing insight and independent advice to business leaders. Responsibility for financial planning and forecasting for Consulting Direct Costs.
  • Develop trust and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, including the Consulting COO
  • Creation of analysis to help support the business in strategic decision making and understanding performance
  • Driving strategic initiatives from conception through to implementation and realisation of benefits
  • Owning key processes and standards across Business Finance to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice
  • Work closely with the Financial Control team and gain an in-depth understanding of key controllership metrics

Core skills required include:

  • Experience in a business partnering role is preferrable
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence business performance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships all levels of staff and partners with ability to challenge and influence where required
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player
  • Excellent communication skills – experience of dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative, and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good IT knowledge and skills in particular modelling and presentations (strength in Excel and PowerPoint essential)
  • Knowledge of SAP and Anaplan would be advantageous
