We are recruiting for a Manager of our Dibden Road Hostel, our 23-bed hostel. The hostel aims to support men at risk of social exclusion, who are aged 18 and above to establish their housing pathway into independent living. Residents will be empowered to live more independently, ensuring that each person has a greater choice and control over every aspect of their life.
We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the complexity of supporting people who have been homeless or vulnerably housed and a passion for supporting these people who also have poor mental and physical health.
We are looking for:
- To provide operational support as required across departments for all staff and volunteers and provide support to the Head of Next Steps to recruit, induct, train, manage and appraise.
- Someone to act collaboratively with other Managers in order to secure the operational effectiveness of St Martins services in accordance with the aims, policies & procedures of the charity.
- Someone to develop and maintain a culture across the organisation where everyone thrives and undertakes their roles to the very best of their ability.
- Someone to ensure all the charities resources are harnessed in pursuit of agreed performance outcomes, as contractually specified by external funders.
- Someone with the passion and drive to support anyone finding themselves in this situation.
- Evidence of emotional resilience and tenacity to provide support, even when faced with resistance.
- Experience of supporting people who have poor mental health, addictions or who are ex-offenders.
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly.
