The Role:

We are recruiting an experienced Installation Site Crew Manager. This is an exciting new position within the Tricel Group. The Installation Site Crew Manager will be responsible for the management of the site crews in the assembly of grp sectional water storage tanks, cistern tanks and one piece tanks to suit all water storage project requirements across the UK. This role will be based out from either our Weston-Super-Mare or Stonehouse Gloucester facilities, the position will report to Tricel Weston Operational Director. The position will require overall management of people, time, materials, quality, health and safety and customer service on projects assigned. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. This position will regular visits to sites across the UK. This is a key operational position which will have responsibility for driving customer based KPIs.

Duties include:

  • Carrying out pre-site visit survey checks to identify any foreseeable problems.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered in compliance with OH&S legislation and regulation.
  • Works closely with Health & Safety projects to gain ISO45001 installation certification.
  • Conducting regular talks with the crew, communicating any safety concerns or campaigns as and when they arise.
  • Establish project manning plans and schedules, overseeing site based resource including employees and subcontractors.
  • Identifying and arranging training as required through liaison with Project Manager/Resourcing.
  • Building and developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and/or customers and be comfortable working with personnel across all levels, ensuring excellent customer service to meet expectations and demands.
  • Working with the relevant stakeholders to resolve any site issues in a proactive timely manner.
  • Managing both direct and sub-contract installation crew performance.
  • Managing the budget in collaboration with the Operational Director and Head of Division.
  • Encouraging and developing a culture of contractual awareness and ensuring that the full contractual entitlement is achieved by managing records and costs etc.
  • Up keep & maintenance of company vehicles
  • Interaction and participation with lean/continuous improvement teams
  • Any other duties as assigned, to support the Company.

Skills and Characteristics:

  • People Management experience
  • IOSH Managing safely in Construction
  • Knowledge of LPCB 1276 standard (desirable)
  • SMSTS Certification
  • Background within facilities maintenance
  • Previous experience in a supervisory position.
  • Lean continuous improvement experience
  • Experience of delivering KPIs
  • Organised
