Overview of the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a management accountant to join our finance team supporting Bridge2Food. Bridge2Food's mission is to achieve global food sustainability for future generations, via their EcoSystem, courses, summits and events.
This role reports directly to the Finance Manager - Europe, having responsibility for the delivery of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. The role holder will also assist with providing further management information in the form of regular reports and analysis. This role works closely with senior management to also provide ad-hoc and general accounting support where necessary.
In this role, you will be working with multi-currency, specifically, Pounds and Euros and also supporting future acquisitions for the Arc network within Europe.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced team and looking for the next step in their career to broaden their experience and knowledge.
Key competencies
- Production of monthly accounts for at least one business unit
- Conduct variance analysis to forecast, budget and prior periods
- Investigate and report variances to management
- Balance sheet reporting and analysis
- Assist with all financial planning including budgets and 3 year plans
- Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin.
- Supporting senior management with general accounting queries
- Responding to various information requests
- Support for audit and tax queries
- Provide support and analysis for any potential acquisitions or disposals
What we value
- Minimum Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Highly advanced Excel skills
- It is required that the individual can demonstrate expertise in P&L management, budget development, clear and accurate financial reporting and underlying core skills in general accounting controls

- Strong communication skills (ability to interpret financial information to non-finance people)
