The One Group are recruiting for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join an expert solicitors in Peterborough on a full time, permanent basis. This is a challenging, yet rewarding role that will see you working within a fast paced environment and working closely with the Finance Director and Financial Controller.
You will be supporting the delivery of high-quality financial accounting and reporting and so a proactive and analytical focus will sit well with the attributes needed to be successful within this position. The ideal candidate will be qualified in either ACCA/CIMA or ACA, have strong excel and IT skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead all month end processes
- Be responsible for making sure all board packs are ready whilst providing detailed analysis and insight into business performance
- Present management information to the finance board
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting the senior finance team in designing and implementing change on internal controls.
- Looking into the profitability of different revenue streams
- Ah hoc reporting
- Support the statutory and SAR audit work
- Take the lead on projects from a finance point of view
- Influencing relationships with department heads
- Lead financial planning processes including the budgets and forecasts
