Senior Management Accountant | Manchester | £50,000 - £55,000 + suite of benefits
The Opportunity
Rapid growth PE backed group based near Manchester have an opportunity for an experienced and proactive Management Accountant (Qualified or finalist level).
This is a business delivering exciting growth – it’s a chance to be part of an interesting, valuable and exciting PE journey that will give the successful candidate exposure to future acquisitions and an exit process.
There’s plenty to get stuck into and you’ll be working with a talented and highly approachable Head of Finance – an encouraging and thoughtful mentor who is happy to give you plenty of autonomy but also on hand for any specific training, support or guidance.
You’ll be coaching the Assistant Accountant and Accounts Apprentice and have chance to develop your management skills / management style.
The role is broad and varied – full management accounts prep, detailed variance analysis, profit stream, revenue and margin analysis / reporting, project accounting, review of balance sheet integrity, fixed asset…. Lots of hands on accounting alongside added value analysis / business partnering projects.
The role would suit a hands on Management Accountant looking for something more challenging and interesting. It’s a growth business with plenty going on.

You need:
- Qualification ideally – CIMA / ACCA or ACA.
- A firm foundation of core technical accounting skills from either practice training or gained in a management accounting / financial accounting role in industry.
- Great analytical skills and natural ability to spot trends / errors / nuances in the numbers.
- Ability to work in a growing business where change will include: a new ERP system, potential acquisitions, entering new markets, growing teams etc.
- To be a team player – this is a collaborative and modern business with an excellent culture.
