Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant| Telford area | Permanent |£Negotiable DOE + study Support (if required)
An opportunity for an AAT/CIMA studier to develop their accounting expertise whilst working in a commercially driven project role supporting management accounting process
The Company
We are working with a manufacturing business who are part of an international group who have experienced recent growth and are set continue on that growth trajectory.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller you will be working closely with the Sales & Launch and Continuous Improvement teams, where your responsibilities will include:
· Ensuring projects are financially controlled, program financials are accurately reported from to product launch whilst tracking key financial metrics (e.g. Contribution Margin, ROFE, Capital costs)
· Provide a business partnering service to support Continuous Improvement projects
· Maintain customer records, ensuring compliance with both business and customer policies
· Completion of internal Cost Record for approval by General manager and Financial Controller prior to invoicing the customer
· Provide sales, margins and balance sheet input for financial forecasting and planning.
· Preparation and presentation of month end
· Monthly cost to complete reviews with Projects and Purchasing
· Preparation of currency cashflows
· Lead and co-ordinate customer tooling audits
· Provide financial information to support Business Development with customer quotations.
· Work closely with Business Development to make sure Selling Prices are correct, reporting on variances
· Responsible for ensuring sales provisions are tracked and documented.
· Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Personal Profile

Ideally you will be AAT qualified and perhaps studying for CIMA/ACCA. We are looking for a candidate who is commercially driven and keen to embrace a project accountant role whilst adhering to compliance and continuous improvement and supporting the management accounting function.
