  • Ownership of financial project delivery at both the Skelmersdale and Cupar sites.
  • Responsible for driving the agenda for system integration and improvement across the two site finance teams.
  • Hold the shift leadership teams accountable to ensure compliance to system processes.
  • Partner the PGT co-ordinators on any proposed system changes or improvements.
  • Site SAP and TM1 superuser, providing training to the site finance teams when required.
  • Provide data to support commercial change, productivity and capital projects.
  • Support Business Partner and SFM to deliver site financial priorities.
  • Ensure GCS and SOX compliance is adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the SAP and TM1 superuser, providing training to the site finance teams when required and ensuring we are working consistently and efficiently across the two site finance teams.
  • Point of contact for system challenges between the site finance team and production teams and/or central finance team.
  • Continually work to identify gaps or improvements in current processes, working with cross-functional teams to root cause and solve any issues.
  • Build and develop a series of local controls in partnership with financial control to ensure process compliance and hold the production teams to account, with particular focus on inventory control.
  • Provide financial support for commercial change, productivity, and capital projects when required.
  • Ensure GCS and SOX compliance.
  • Attend site QCDM meetings when necessary.
  • Support the Business Partner and SFM with other work streams as required.
  • Provide cover for the Direct Cost Management Accountants when required.
DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:
  • Ownership of outputs from the system to drive decision making. Will work closely with site finance teams as well as other UK site finance and central finance contacts.
  • Ensure GCS and SOX compliance.
  • Ensure that they have enough knowledge about their site at all times to enable them to be the site financial representative during QCDM meetings and to make the right decisions to support the shift teams.

Qualifications

  • AAT qualified (or equivalent).
  • Early stages of professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Experience of working with Lean manufacturing (QCDM).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Drive for results/ability to work under pressure (role is deadline driven).
  • Ability to influence upwards to affect the results & progress of the action plan & AOP.
  • Communication skills to all levels.
Key customers are managers – SFM, Site SLT, Central Finance Team, Shift Leadership Teams (including PGT Co-Ordinators).
