We are now recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our Regional Development Programme (RDP) North team, based in Salford or Fleetwood. The position sits within the Highways Finance Function, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow for the contract. An important part of the role will be building a strong network around the project so that you are the go-to person for the RDP North contract. Location: Salford, Manchester or site based at Fleetwood - remote working available
Contract: Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available around month end commitments, just let us know.
Salary: £35k - £42k FTE
Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant, you’ll liaise with the contract senior leadership team and produce management reports and reconciliations. A key member of the wider finance team responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.
Your day to day will include:
- preparation of management accounts through to trial balance for the contract(s)
- preparation of monthly profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow for the contract(s)
- variance analysis of contract results for the project leadership team
- managing cash recovery from the client through monthly applications / third party invoicing, as well as any debt management when required.
- preparation of cost reconciliations – people, plant, systems
- maintenance of accounting system via journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Who are we looking for?
This role of Management Accountant is great for you if are a:
- qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or working towards chartership
- proven ability of strong management accounting skills.
- hold a full UK driving licence
