Job Purpose
A vacancy has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the Finance function of a rapidly growing Investment Administration platform business within a Life Insurance vehicle for 6-9 months to cover Maternity leave
This person will be responsible for many of the key management accounting tasks required to produce the corporate books and records each month, as well as getting involved in various reconciliations and internal controls that are required to ensure that the long-term policy holder fund account is accurately recorded. This role will report to the Senior Financial Controller. There is also management responsibility of Accounts Assistant.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly management accounts pack for review
· Responsible for month end processing delivered to set timeframes
· Maintain and develop internal controls and procedures for all Corporate finance functions
· Ensure all journals are correctly posted to the ledger
· Complete monthly reconciliations and review all corporate balance sheet accounts
· Provide front office with monthly cashflow and margin analysis reporting
· Monitor and analyse monthly corporate expenditure and income accounts
· Review all purchase ledger invoices to ensure correctly authorised and coded
· Maintain Sage Accounting System including chart of accounts
· Manage the month end fee reconciliations/process
· Be part of new accounting system implementation team
· Monthly and quarterly invoicing
· Credit Control – ensure all monies owed are collected in a timely manner
· Calculate back dated fees as required
· Calculate monthly overhead expense allocations
· Involvement in annual audit process
· Oversee work of Accounts Assistant and provide support where required
· Authorise HSBC payments for purchase ledger payments
· Undertake any other task or duties as reasonable assigned
Qualifications and Experience
· Experience in Financial Services desirable but not essential
· Qualified/Part-qualified accountant, ideally with Dynamics implementation experience
· The candidate must be numerate with a good understanding of business and accounting language
· Preference for someone with Sage 200 and Dynamics experience but not essential, must be confident with Microsoft office

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months
Salary: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
