Salary: £40,000
Position offered - Management Accountant familiar with Xero (or similar) accounting system, responsible for recording and analysing all transactions for a young, privately owned high volume broker business specialising in car finance. Must be studying or have completed a bookkeeping and/or accounting qualification and be familiar with fully computer based data generation and banking.
The business currently relies on outside bookkeeping assistance but has already grown to a size that requires internal accounting resource, and the position offered will be its first internal accounts appointment. You must have the ambition, drive and mental alertness to play a leading role as a member of the small but highly focussed team dedicated to achieving fast and profitable growth. For the right candidate this will lead to increasingly senior responsibilities within the business.

To succeed in this position, you must possess the following attributes:
- Experience of bookkeeping preferably studying or completion of IAT or accounting qualification, or perhaps qualified by experience
- Ability to provide accurate, clear work, organised with good attention to detail
- Knowledge of internet accounting systems such as Xero
- Self discipline to ensure routine tasks including bank and control account reconciliations are always up to date
- Experience filing returns with both HMRC and Companies House electronically
- Good VAT knowledge
