Role should be no more than 2 days per week in office (oldbury perhaps one day - other trust sites on 1 other day)
Unusually for MA roles - this role 1/3 of your time will be spent producing Management accounts - the remainder being communication between your services and identifying cost savings/improvements - excellent chance to make a real different to your local hospitals!!!
Main duties of the job
Band 5 Management Accountant – Finance
The role will provide financial support to the Mental Health Division which is the largest clinical division in the Trust.
The Management Accountant will contribute towards the preparation of the monthly Directorate and Board reports, produce monthly forecasts, and manage their workload such that all deadlines are met, whilst completing work to a high standard and ensuring that accurate and timely budgetary control information is circulated to all budget holders in line with agreed reporting deadlines. Regular meetings with a range of budget holders will be required.
Essential criteria
- AAT qualified
- ‘A’ Level standard education
- Minimum of one-years management accounting experience
- Experience of working in a management accounting environment.
Desirable criteria
- Studying towards a CCAB qualification
- Experience of the provision of training, advice and budgetary support to non-financial and finance staff.
- Experience in Budget setting & Year end procedures
- Knowledge of Integra financial system
