We are building for the future and are looking for a Management Accountant to join our newly created team based out of Birmingham.
The role....
Reporting to theOperational Manager you undertake the provision of timely, accurate and purposeful management information as required on all financial matters and help maximise Gross Margins, Operating Profits and Operating Cash Flow for the business.You will contribute to the effectiveness of the Securitas team through responsibilities and participation in initiatives that supports the development of the business in the UK.
What you’ll be doing....
- Accuracy of information carried in Operational and Financial systems.
- Operational administration process to ensure that invoices are raised for chargeable revenue accurately, promptly and minimise the need to raise sales credit notes.
- Contract level reports to ensure maximisation of Gross Margins and the reduction of Non chargeable wage costs.
- Direct, Branch, Area and Selling overhead costs and the identification of Cost Reduction or Investment initiatives.
- Review and validate the accuracy of the Customer Contract Portfolios.
- Operational process to ensure that Price Reviews are actioned promptly and to the commercial benefit of the business.
- DSO’s by Branch to maximise Operating Cash flow.
- Balance sheet reconciliation & Inter-Company transactions
- Audit & process of incentive and commission scheme for payment by payroll in accordance with company policy.
- Production of the Monthly Management Reporting including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Development of Business Analysis and Benchmarking; to challenge the business to maximise profit margin.
- Preparation of the Monthly/ Quarterly Forecasts and the Annual Business Plan.
- Bid Team and Business Development Managers with the development of the Pricing tool, advice on pricing and the provision of financial information required for tenders.
What you’ll need ...
- AAT qualified / part or newly qualified CIMA, ACCA withrelevant industryexperience
- Cashier/ Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable experience considered
- Experience of financial transaction processing and analytical skills.
- Commercial understanding and business acumen
- Previous Audit& Tax experience or knowledge preferable
- Solid understanding of the P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations
- Have an inquiring and analytical mind, and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail
- Ability to tell the story behind the numbers and communicate this to the business
- Pro-active, self-starter; grasps opportunities,takes action and understand the bigger picture
- Excellent organisational abilities to be able to balance different tasks and meet deadlines
- Self-starter, who can pick up tasks quickly and understand the bigger picture
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
