Job description
Muntons are the biggest malted ingredients manufacturer in the world, and in the top 20 malt producers in the UK. Our headquarters is in Stowmarket, Suffolk (where this role is based), and we have further production sites in Yorkshire and Thailand, as well as sales offices in Asia, Europe and America.
The Job:
In this role you will be part of our Malt production team at our Stowmarket Maltings creating Malt and aiding in all aspects of the maltings from r barley intake (as required), bulk order despatch, screening and transfer. Within this role you must comply with company policy on health & safety, food safety, environmental issues and other relevant standards as applicable whilst maintaining excellent plant hygiene levels, records and cleaning schedules. You will also have the opportunity to liaise with and assist other departments as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out daily production duties in all areas of the plant.
- Carry out plant cleaning as detailed in hygiene schedules or as requested.
- Assist other departments as requested.
Principle Skills:
- The ability to carry out production duties in all areas of the plant and to cope with the physical demands of the role
- Maintain plant hygiene levels to required standards
- Contribute to and maintain the standards of the production areas.
- Assist in ensuring continued compliance with relevant standards and in working towards achievement of any new relevant standards
- Competent Forklift Driver
