Job title: Male Support Worker (Day)
Location: Edgbaston
Salary: £11 per hour
Role: Full Time Permanent 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 7:30am-3pm & 2:30pm-10pm. You must be able to work both shifts & work weekends.
Someone over 21 with a driving licence, that has been held for more than 2 years would be preferred for this role.

Ulysses is a busy, fun 5 bed residential service for adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. The individuals who currently live there are an extremely active bunch who are constantly busy, whether that be dancing around the house or getting out and about, being situated near to Birmingham City centre we like to make use of the local amenities. Individuals living at Ulysses need support with all aspects of daily living.
Support Worker duties:
At Precious Homes, we work by empowering individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and other complex needs, to live as independently as possible, to become integral members of the community and to achieve their goals and aspirations through individual care pathways. As a social care provider we also empower our staff family to make important decisions in the workplace and our aim is to be as person centred with our staff as we are with our service users.

- Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
- Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies
- Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents
- This includes employment, education and other opportunities
- Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
- Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence
- Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development
