Male Support Worker
£11 per hour

South Tyneside (Includes South shields and Jarrow)
Full UK driving licence essential

PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for support workers who are willing to travel across different locations within South Tyneside for this role - The criteria within this advert is specific to the main home you'd be assigned to.

About the people we support:
We have 2 independent men with Downs Syndrome in their 20s who love their football and support Newcastle United & Sunderland.
They also enjoy heading out to the cinema, parks, love a pub lunch and we're looking for someone to assist them to live independently in their own home.
You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress - full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.
An outgoing support worker with a passion for football or anything active would be a wonderful match.
What will I be doing?
- You will be supporting both men to live their lives how they choose and to achieve their goals.
- You will be supporting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Shift Patterns:
- 10am-10am the following day (including a £45 sleepover shift)
- Sleep-Ins cover hours from 10:30pm-8am.
- Additional shorter day shifts available on weekdays.
- Flexibility to work a combination of shifts during the week and at weekends is required.
- Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance.
