-----------------------------
Come and make a positive difference in someone's life!
-----------------------------
Who will I be supporting?
A young, polite, autistic gentleman in his 30s who loves chatting to people
He loves Bangladeshi culture and food, and he makes an awesome curry!
He enjoys watching movies, listening to music, baking cakes, and catching up with his family
Recently he got a car, and he is loving the extra independence it's given him, so you'll need a full UK driving licence to join his support team, so that he can continue to visit his favourite places!
This gentleman is a complex young man with mental health needs and a forensic history - you will receive extensive person centred training but it's essential that you have some previous experience supporting individuals with complex mental health and/or behavioural needs in order to be considered
What will I be doing?
You will be supporting him to live his life how he chooses, to be himself and to achieve his goals
You will be supporting him with his medication, food shopping, and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
You will also be implementing person-centred behavioural support strategies when he's experiencing behaviours of distress - training provided
What shifts are available?
This gentleman is supported 2:1 during the day and 1:1 at night
Shifts start at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day with a sleepover shift included
Day shifts start at 9am until 6pm
We're looking for someone with flexibility to work a combination of these shifts across weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance
We can accommodate part-time or full-time hours - just let us know your preference when you apply
