Maintenance Technician
About the role
Are you a multi-skilled trade operative looking for a role working across residential care homes and schools? Then look no further!
A Maintenance Technician’s role is to ensure the premises and equipment are maintained to a high standard to provide all employees and residents with a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment.
Painting and decorating, basic joinery, basic plumbing, and basic electrics.- Weekly maintenance activities across sites including but not limited to: Replacement doors, Glazing, bathroom fittings.
- Annual checks PAT across all sites
- Fire door compliance checks
- Ad hoc emergency works
- Project Works
- Call out Rota.

Experience
- Proven experience working as a Maintenance Technician is essential
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Experience in a health and social care setting is desirable but the right attitude and willingness to understand the needs of supporting our homes is essential
Additional requirements
- Flexibility to cover business needs
- A problem-solver with exceptional communication and organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and responsibly
- Willingness to work occasional evening or weekends depending on the home’s requirements and be on call for emergencies
- A full driving licence is essential
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
