Total Package at the time of joining up to £40,480.
We’ll help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.
What will I be doing?
We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all electrical and instrumentation areas of our plant. That means making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest wiring standards and regulatory requirements. At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions. Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors. Please note that this role forms part of a 24-hour call-out rota, covering plant breakdowns outside normal working hours.
You might be asked to help to cover for a colleague, or to attend a specific training, however you will be properly compensated with 1.5x overtime rate, increasing to 2x on Sundays and night shifts, and to 3x on bank holidays.
What are the requirements?
To join us in this key role, you’ll have previous experience with Industrial electrical systems and Process Measurement & Control. You’ll have learned about these areas through an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar and a previous maintenance engineering role, based in a process, steam raising or heavy engineering environment. Thanks to this background, you’ll be qualified to at least City & Guilds/NVQ level 3. The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Familiarity with BS 7671: 2008 17th edition wiring regulations, Experience in DCS/SCADA systems, PLC Programming and Networks, C&G2394/5,Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) or equivalent would also be advantageous but if not training will be provided.
