Role: Maintenance Technician
Location: Lancashire

Tailor Made are excited to be recruiting for a well-established leading manufacturing company in Lancashire. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.
You will be responsible for Improving system performance by increasing the reliability of plant manufacturing equipment including process, packaging, facilities, and material handling. You will provide technical support for the evolution to reliability centered maintenance, which will lead to productivity improvement and a reduced maintenance cost/case as well as Identifying, implementing, and communicating maintenance productivity improvements plant wide.
The Role:
¨ Troubleshoot equipment mechanical and electrical systems to maintain equipment safety, reliability, and quality
¨ Adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures (i.e. Lockout / Tagout, Confined Space, Hot Work, etc)
¨ Familiar with industrial 3 phase power distribution and motor controls.
¨ Familiar with CNC equipment operation and troubleshooting
¨ Familiar with the use of electrical test equipment (i.e. Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, etc)
¨ Familiar with basic industrial electrical control circuits and troubleshooting
¨ Familiar with PLC operations and troubleshooting
¨ Promote and participate in preventive maintenance development
¨ Assist with the identification of required maintenance skills and the development of training
¨ Participate in the development of maintenance and reliability job plans
¨ Monitor safety requirements listed in work orders for compliance
¨ Participate in maintenance performance audits and the gap analysis process
¨ Work with plant personnel to promote the use of TPM on all critical equipment
¨ Participate in developing vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasonic inspections, infrared, motor circuit analysis, and non-destructive testing programs
¨ Assist in the development of a system for backing up and maintaining all plant equipment software and control programs. (i.e., Wintech’s, Router’s, Paragon’s, VFD’s, PLC’s, security systems, fire protection systems, etc)
¨ Participate in periodic Plant Engineering and Maintenance Audits
¨ Participate in scheduled plant engineering and maintenance conference calls and meetings
¨ Continually improve the design and/or control of the mechanical HVAC systems within the division for energy efficiency.
¨ Development of a division wide standardized electrical safety program.
¨ Operations and maintenance of the Thailand facility infrastructure systems
About You:
¨ Maintenance Technology Certification and 5 -10 years maintenance experience required.
¨ Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows
¨ Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferred
¨ Strong electrical, controls, and mechanical ability preferred
¨ Good communication skills and proven inter-personnel skills
¨ In-depth knowledge of plant infrastructure systems and their operations
¨ Ability to apply critical thinking to complex systems
¨ Knowledge and use of Auto CAD a plus
¨ The ability to work in a team environment is required
