Maintenance Planner
To plan Engineering work so that it is carried out in the most effective and efficient manner with minimum loss of operational access to production and services plant
This is a site-based role based at Irvine
In this role you will…
- Plan and co-ordinate the electrical department maintenance work efficiently in conjunction with operational personnel, to minimise production downtime.
- Pre-engineer designated maintenance and project activities to meet department requirements efficiently, i.e., spares, materials, site/contract labour, services.
- Liaise with MERPS Contracts Manager/ Electrical Engineering to maximise the use of resources ensuring effective use of labour facilities, equipment, and services
- Ensure that all legislative and regulatory work is carried out to schedule and recorded to comply with current and future regulations.
- Providing MERPS system support and training in respect of end user requirements and queries.
- Source, select and procure spares/equipment, etc. as required to fulfil future maintenance workload.
- Generate Engineering KPI’s monthly for Electrical and Maintenance Leaders for monitoring purposes assisting with continuous improvement.
- Review the monthly maintenance backlog for all trades to ensure effective use of resources
- Co-ordinate and manage weekly maintenance planning meetings for operations, mechanical, electrical and instrument groups to establish the overall maintenance plan.
- Provide cover for Electrical Team Leader, co-ordinating electrical tasks, allocating electrical labour to meet department requirements during ETL absence from site.

- Process understanding/fault rectification, cycle times, equipment criticality/availability of plant
- Knowledge of regulations; Pressure Regs. /GMP/safety
- Systems knowledge; Working knowledge of Engineering Business System
- Interpersonal skills; Good communications (written/oral), team player.
- Organisational skills; Practical/methodical/forward thinking.
- Participates with others in regular planning meetings to review, update and implement the Maintenance Plan.
- Developing/adjusting weekly/daily maintenance plan given changing department/site priorities.
- Ordering materials/services considering quality/value/delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Solid knowledge of M-ERP
- Computer literate particularly sound knowledge of excel
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Electrical background preferred
