Job Introduction
Pennine Aggregates Ltd is a rapidly expanding, family-owned business which prides itself on high standards throughout the company.

We are currently looking for a qualified maintenance fitter to join our growing, friendly team.

Role Responsibility
As the successful maintenance fitter, you will be responsible for servicing & maintaining various plants such as: Automated packing & mixing plants, screw, belt conveyor systems, drying & heating plants.

The role will be Monday-Friday.

Key aspects:

· Support in the repair and maintenance of plant and machinery i.e., carrying out any repairs/maintenance to plant, conveyor systems and some hydraulic/air equipment.

Welding and fabrication

· Be involved in the design and development of new plant installations.

· Carrying out planned maintenance checks.

· Reduce plant breakdowns.

· Undertake risk assessment and associated paperwork, where required, of the relevant activities to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.

· Provide flexibility to undertake emergency repairs where and when these occur.

· Some weekend and night working may be required.

The Ideal Candidate
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience as a qualified mechanical fitter ideally within the construction environment or similar. Will have the ability to use your own initiative and to communicate with our internal maintenance team.

Specific Requirements.

  • 5 years’ experience in an industrial/production maintenance environment[preferred]
  • Must be flexible to suit the business needs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Team player
  • Safe working mentality

Remuneration

Starting pay will be £17.25 per hour, 10 hours per day, including 1-hour unpaid breaks. Increased rates for overtime & out of hours callouts.
