Job Purpose:
As a Pump Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in our production process, focusing on the assembly of pumps equipped with either electric motors or diesel engines. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that pumps are built to the highest standards, following engineering drawings and bill of material listings.
Key Responsibilities:
Meticulously build bare shaft pumps in accordance with engineering drawings.
Expertly assemble diesel skid sets and electric skid sets, precisely following provided engineering drawings and bill of material listings.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) engineer and supervisor to promptly address any assembly issues.
Maintain production data books, filling them with essential project critical information.
Thoroughly complete check sheets to ensure comprehensive quality control.
Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations detailed in risk assessments and COSHH sheets.
Requirements:
Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ3 or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of fitting experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Self-motivated with a positive "can-do" attitude and a strong sense of collaboration within a team environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a logical, structured approach to work.
