Maintenance Engineering Specialist
Location: South Cerney Plant, Broadway Lane, Cirencester GL7 5UH
Hours: 40 a week, Monday - Friday
BMI UK&I have a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join the team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is based in our concrete site in South Cerney, Gloucestershire.
Role Summary
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and production teams to ensure that all items of plant machinery and equipment are developed to the highest standards so that the production line performance is safe and reliable.
Continually improve performance of equipment and systems to support the development, efficiency and safety of the production operation; identifying and undertaking specific improvement projects that are managed in close communication with the production and maintenance teams.
You will have specialist knowledge on plant production systems and equipment and will support complex breakdowns and repairs as required.
As the Maintenance Engineering Specialist, your key responsibilities will be:
Help define, plan and lead maintenance tasks, including operations autonomous maintenance
Create and analyse Maintenance KPI data with the team to develop a preventative maintenance plan that is reviewed and updated regularly
Monitor plant operational efficiency and reliability identifying areas of underperformance and implement plans to deliver improvements
Drive route cause analysis to identify and implement preventative solutions
Lead/Support successful implementation of maintenance projects the enhance production safety and performance
Ensure breakdowns/repair information is logged on CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
Ensure that all procedures in the maintenance manuals are correctly implemented
Identify and request parts and services from the maintenance revenue budget
As the Maintenance Engineering Specialist, your key skills and experience will include:
Ideally have an electrical bias
Significant experience as a Production Line Maintenance Technician
Experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of pneumatic/hydraulic or electrical/PLC systems
Analytical skills with drive to implement improvements on performance
Evident ability to identify and plan continuous improvements and costs
Competent IT skills with ability to plan, create and present projects clearly
Proven ability to lead projects and deliver solutions on time within a budget
