Melissa at TN Recruits Temps is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic and hardworking team.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of machine maintenance and servicing within our production and packing areas. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment, minimise downtime, and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of plant machinery.
• Maintain all plant equipment to maximise production activities while adhering to company Health and Safety procedures.
• Ensure that all pressure systems are safe to use and comply with statutory requirements
• Meet key targets for minimising downtime and maximising equipment uptime.
• Make recommendations for plant improvement, focusing on safety and productivity enhancements.
• Adhere to and improve health and safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in production operational manufacturing and filling processes when not servicing equipment.

About you:

• Apprenticeship/HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on approach with the technical expertise to make appropriate decisions
• Technically astute in diagnosing breakdowns, fault finding, and decision-making

Location: Chiddingstone Causeway
Salary: £35,000
Hours: 7.30am until 4.30pm Monday - Friday
