Pay: £37000 to £40000
Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lancaster
Industry: Manufacturing
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + the option to purchase 5 additional days subject to site availability. Pension 6% matched
Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Fridays 7am to 2pm
Overtime: 1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays
Structure: You would be working closely with the Engineering manager being the responsible electrical engineer on site.
Overview:
Working for a manufacturing business that have sites across the UK and EU, we now require a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the engineering manager and lead electrical duties on the site.
Key responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role:
- To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
- Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
- Develop and implement a PPM maintenance schedule
- To advise on plant issues and improvement opportunities.
- Manage engineering projects and contractors.
- To ensure maximum possible plant uptime
The ideal candidate / Electrical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Knowledge of safety circuits, Invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems
- A mechanical understanding would be advantageous – gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics
- Electrically qualified – Must be able to present these at interview – Level 3 or apprentice trained
Commutable from: Carnforth, Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas.
