Work Pattern – 5 Days 37.5 hr working week
Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer, to join our team based at our Nestlé Beverage, Tutbury Factory.
This role is responsible for ensuring competent maintenance management, to support the sites aim to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increased asset intensity.
Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Staffordshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. The factory is a Centre of excellence for Nescafé products around the world producing freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee technologies and is at the forefront of coffee innovation globally.
A day in the life of an Maintenance Engineer …
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager you will support the running of both the Spray Dried and Freeze-Dried manufacturing departments.
The main focus of the role will be:
- Ensuring compliance with the Nestlé quality policy particularly engineering change management and line release.
- Drive plant reliability through effective coordination and coaching whilst delivering fixed cost reductions.
- Coordination and implementation of the departmental maintenance strategy.
- Analysis of breakdowns, with a root cause mindset, taking ownership of follow up actions and roll out.
- Supporting the capability build across the department with a strong competency build plan.
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practice standards in respect of plant, tools and environment.
- Support and challenge your colleagues to maintain all company standards.
What will make you successful?
- Ideally Multi-skilled but Electrical or Mechanical Bias will also be considered. Time served apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Have previous experience within Roast and Ground coffee technology. (Desirable)
- Have a hands-on, practical approach to your work, along with a can-do attitude.
- Can work as part of a team delivering compliance in safety and quality.
- Ability to influence by having strong inter person skills.
- Have excellent problem solving and prioritisation skills.
- Naturally able to lead, challenge and build capability.
- Ability to communicate across all levels and work on own initiative.
- Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- TPM understanding is a must.
