As a Maintenance Engineer based in West Bromwich, you will work on shifts carrying out all reactive, routine and preventative maintenance in accordance with the schedule, ensuring the smooth running of all machines to achieve maximum output in terms of machine availability.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Diagnosis and repair of special purpose equipment and make sure it works correctly
• Formulation and execution of effective (value-added) planned maintenance (PM) to prevent disruption of activities
• Control of inventory using engineering database
• Pilot key equipment using maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs) to formulate and implement improvement action plans
• Mentor and support maintenance apprentices

To succeed in this permanent, double days Maintenance Engineer role, you will need to be educated and qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. You will also require the following:

• Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Very good with electrical fault-find using HMI fault codes
• Root cause analysis
