Weekend Shift Maintenance Engineer - The Details
- Salary £38,606
- Friday – 6am to 2pm Sat and Sun – 6am to 6pm

Weekend Shift Maintenance Engineer – Responsibilities
- Efficient diagnosis and correction of electrical and mechanical faults site-wide
- Installation and commissioning of all new and repaired machinery and equipment
- Assist manufacturing with machinery adjustments, changeovers and set up
- Machine performance improvements and reduction of downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Take an active role in Health and Safety requirements on site
- Be able to work unsupervised when tasked to do so, and to organise the work of others, where relevant, in response to the site needs
Manage and support the activities of all engineering contractors when they are on site
- To adopt and follow safe working practices and procedures at all times
- To maintain and follow safe working practices and procedures at all times
- To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy
- To complete and maintain the highest standards in completing paperwork and works sign off
- To complete tasks to the highest standards, to maintain plant and equipment for safe operation and eliminate product contamination risks
- To complete Pre-Task Reviews for any and all activities to maintain and adopt Health and Safety practices.
Weekend Shift Maintenance Engineer – Requirements
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
- Experience of FMCG operations
- PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
- Flexibility
- Health and Safety driven
- Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments
- To mentor apprentices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £38,600.00-£38,606.00 per year

- York, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
