A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in the East Yorkshire Area is looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with either bias to join the business for a nights role. With continuous growth and investment, this company just continues to go from strength to strength. In this position you will be part of an autonomous and proactive engineering team.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Ensure breakdowns are addressed and repaired in a timely manner.
- Fault find, diagnose and rectifying both mechanical and electrical faults
- Deliver equipment preventative maintenance schedule to avoid machine downtime and carry out effective planned maintenance inspections as per plan, reviewing frequencies, parts used, failure rates, overhaul and repair of plant with engineering colleagues
- Ensure operational key information is effectively communicated to colleagues and other shift teams during the shift hand-over process
- Minimise waste and re-cycle all product effectively
- Continuous improvement activities to drive to improve machine up-time, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation, and safe operating procedures.

I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time served Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC electrical/mechanical, BTEC level 3 in engineering and experience in both Electrical and a Mechanical capacity and qualified to 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Regulations is preferable). A good understanding of HACCP principles. Has awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within engineering field and the ability to work well under pressure and assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly. Ideally you will like to work at speed and be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent Maintenance Engineer.
This role is 4 on /off nights role, 12 hour shifts – 6pm – 6am.
