In this role, you will be representing Estates as a focal point for staff and student requests, you will be undertaking urgent, routine, and preventative tasks across a diverse range of building types and services to ensure the University is functional and operational.

Our Estates and Campus infrastructure includes state of the art buildings which have contributed to making BU one of the highest ranked environmentally sustainable education organisations in the UK. Working as part of a team of professionally qualified staff, you will undertake routine and planned preventative electrical maintenance tasks of our buildings and equipment across the University estate, including satellite campuses and student accommodation.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Be an experienced and qualified electrician
- Be proactive in identifying and developing solutions and be adept at problem solving
- Be able to effectively contribute to the activities of the maintenance team to meet our priorities, performance indicators and service level agreements
- Have a broad knowledge across all aspects of electrical and mechanical services
