Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Hotel Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, helping to maintain the highest standards of quality and comfort for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, to keep all areas of the hotel in excellent condition.
- Repairs: Respond promptly to repair requests and troubleshoot issues in guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines to create a secure and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of maintenance supplies and request replacements when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical fitness and stamina for performing manual tasks.
