Maintenance Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant, who will support the Hotel Maintenance Manager with both planned and reactive maintenance, defect repair and health & safety checks

Duties and Responsibilities
- Be passionate about your role and association with the Estate.
- You will ensure all areas across the estate are decorated and maintained to a high standard.
- To carry out mandatory checks and maintenance on all electrical equipment and plant, whilst reporting accurately on the status throughout.
- Be involved in all areas of painting and decorating.
- Liaise with the wider hotel team to ensure a smooth and efficient service is provided at all times.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for yourself, guests and colleagues in line with the company’s security, operating and environmental policies.
- Thinking on your feet, remaining calm under pressure and responding quickly to priority tasks.
- Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us memorable.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience of working in a similar type role covering a variety of maintenance work.
- A good knowledge of hotel services would be advantageous.
- Practical skills for driving and operating machinery.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
- Excellent time keeping and communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to change and have a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
- A desire to further continue their own personal development.
