Requirements:

The ideal person will have strong experience, ideally at least 1-2 years in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests. They will have a basic understanding of hotel services and previous experience within a maintenance role is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more building trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/ decorating or general building maintenance. The role offers training and development to improve overall technical skills and knowledge.

The responsibilities of the role are wide and include planned maintenance programs, reactive maintenance, defect repair and health safety checks; the workload is varied so good planning and organisational skills are therefore required. As the position involves working predominantly in guest areas, candidates must be smart, polite and respectful. On call duty may be required.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable and willing to learn as part of this growing team.

Duties will include:

  • Liaise with the Hotel Management and Housekeeping department regarding both internal and external maintenance.
  • To comply with all statutory and Company regulations relating to Health Safety, Hygiene, Fire safety and security of the premises and property.
  • Ensure that proactive and reactive day to day maintenance work is carried out to the required standards.
  • Assist with ensuring that the maintenance work remains in budget and causes little disruption to guests.
