Job description
At Cut My Plastic, we believe interior and exterior transformation should be easy, so our aim is to provide a seamless and fuss free experience when it comes to all things DIY. We provide an entirely personalised experience for all customers with precisely cut sheet materials.
Summary
We’re looking to expand our digital team with either a Front-End, Back-End, or Full Stack Web Developer who can bring new skills, experience, and capacity to the team. The primary focus will be on the development and delivery of new features to cutmyplastic.co.uk, with which we have some big changes planned.
We are a unique ecommerce company in that we attempt to keep as much of our systems internal, so our manufacturing, sorting, and packing systems are also developed in-house - so there are plenty of experiences available. We are flexible with working locations (the whole team WFH on Fridays), but during the probationary period would prefer a focus on working in the office as you settle into the team under the guidance of our two experienced web developers. At the office you will be right at the heart of the operations with the inspiring Founder, Managing Director, Customer Services, and Manufacturing all on location.
Responsibilities
- Development of new features and bug fixes with a focus on front end development or back end development depending on the candidates experience and preference.
- Unit and Regression testing for QA and UAT environments for Magento websites.
- Occasionally assisting in the maintenance of websites on other platforms including WordPress.
- Be involved in weekly planning and backlog refinement meetings to manage the team’s shared backlog and sprints.
- Provide concise and consistent communications in and outside of daily stand-ups.
What we are looking for
- Someone with at least some real world experience who can bring fresh new ideas to the table and run away with the big dreams we have planned.
- A team player who is comfortable working with others and communicates well.
- Someone able to produce results with quick turnarounds in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- A person who has the drive to, and is willing to, learn new things and grow as a developer and team member. Someone who is willing to expand their knowledge from a specialised role to a more full-stack developer role is ideal.
