To facilitate our continued growth plan in the magazine publishing division, we are looking to appoint a driven, motivated Magazines Designer who will work within the central design team working on a wide selection of publications right across the Newsquest portfolio.
Suitable candidates will be able to design magazine pages and spreads in short time frames, often to tight deadlines and needs to be skilled in InDesign and Photoshop. You'll be able to quickly switch between tasks, managing a varied workload where no two days are the same. Some experience in the industry is required for this role.
Excellent customer service is essential along with a desire to ensure that the best product is always sent to market. Self-motivation is a must, as is a desire to grow and develop your skills to meet the high standards our customers demand.
Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.00pm although flexibility will be required around peak periods. Some bank holiday working is also required. Currently, we are working on a hybrid model which includes some days from home and some days in our office but the first couple of weeks of employment may require full time office working for training and setup.
