As a Machinist Operator you will be involved in Operating and learning a variety of large and complex machines.

What you will be doing:
You will be completing all engineering tasks with adherence to H&S and environmental regulations.
- Do manual machining on a variety of milling, turning, sawing, and grinding machines to manufacture bespoke parts from a variety of different materials.
- Working as part of a team to ensure the successful transfer of a RR machining facility from Thurso Scotland to Raynesway – working away for short periods will be required during the transfer.
- Welding and sheet metal fabrication.
- Interpreting Engineering Drawings and liaising with design engineers to ensure components are manufactured to the highest standards.

- Served a full mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- Qualified to NVQ3/ONC/HNC in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Computer literate with experience of using Windows, MS Excel, MS Word & Power Point.
- CNC programming and operating advantageous (Mazak Mazatrol).

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
