Job description
We are the leading sushi manufacturer for most UK retailers. We are highly innovative manufacturer of sushi, bentos and snacks in the UK.
We have various vacancies available working as a Factory Operative in different areas of production.
Position Summary
Our team memberwill perform various tasks in the production to prepare and package our products ready to be delivered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for topping up lines with ingredients and ensuring lines run smoothly for production without any hold
- Responsible for getting ingredients from the chillers to lines frequently throughout the shift as an when required
- Responsible for cooking rice in large volume as per cooking instructions in place
- Responsible for handling meat products (i.e. fish, chicken, beef, pork) as per the production requirement
- Responsible for handling packaging which may include alcohol (i.e alcohol wipes, sachets)
- Able to work other areas of the production as and when required as per the business need
- Able to carry weight inline with H&S regulations frequently throughout the shift
- Able to work in cold temperature
- Able to stand and move around throughout the shift as and when required
- May require the use of a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or safety shoes.
- Able to take new challenges as per the supervisor/manager instructions
- Able to operate machinery
What you’ll need:
- Good communication skills.
- Good understanding of Manual handling
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- FMCG Experience within food or drink industry in similar role.
- Flexible to work on a rota basis
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
