Job description
SG Civil Engineering Ltd are a successful Civil Engineering and Ground Works contractor working on multi million- pound projects across the UK. We are looking for a number of subcontractor ground workers and machine drivers for our current project in Carlisle.
All operatives will be required to have BPSS Clearance (BPSS Clearance, or Baseline Personnel Security Standard screening, is a fundamental pre-employment check in the UK, conducted to ensure the security of individuals who have access to sensitive government information. This screening verifies an individual's identity, employment history, criminal record, and right to work in the UK)
You should be aware of the health and safety protocols and display compliance to it at all times as well as being aware of the industry standards. Proven work experience in the Construction industry will be advantageous.
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card
- CPCS or NPORS relevant plant qualification
- Complete knowledge of the industry standards, health, and safety protocols
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good time management and organisational skills, highly motivated and detail-oriented
Additional Information
- As a Sub contractor you will need to be registered as Self Employed
- Competitive hourly rate.
- Hours of work Monday to Friday, weekend working may be requested but not guaranteed.
- Duration up to 6 months with the possibility of extension
